This album is about a lot of things, namely kink and trauma being the main two. The motif introduced early in Emily's Dead persists throughout the album for reasons I can't share.

This album is dedicated to my beloved boyfriend. It was made with our entire ten-year history in mind; all our shared traumas, growth, love, everything between us both. This album is "taking the good with the bad" to me thematically, letting someone be a bit rough around the edges so you can see the good in them.

Today, November 20, is his 26th birthday. I felt it fitting to release now, as he's the reason I ended up working on this beyond a single session. He fell in love with Emily's Dead back when I first sent it to him, and it gave me the spark I needed to really see this though. I wanted the album to be out on Halloween for SV1's 6th anniversary, but I think the extra time made the album more than worth the wait.
